Viva Router: Review

Hmm From where should i start ? ok .. today when i was at the shalaih i got an error msg on my old router Globesurfer II from Zain .. so instead of taking it back oo haal loya i cancelled my subscription with Zain and tried something new .. Qualitynet and others wont get you ADLS to shalaih.. as far as they can get is um al haiman .. so i suggested Viva is the only thing i have to try cause they are going to upgrade to 14.4 in several days .. installation is very easy on this router .. 24 hours auto connect no need to press a button to connect .. just switch it on .. to get a signal from turning on the device wont take 10 seconds and thats the most impressive ! speed is good to me but still i need to try it in the shalaih cause the need of the router is in shalaih only .. hmmmm as i said setup is easy and nothing to worry about .. i would rate 3 companies as following on speed
Zain 9/10
Viva 9/10
Wataniya 7/10 ( speed still too slow) on routers only need to update their routers !! they are still 3.6 !!

well the only problem i heard viva is that there network doesnot cover all of zain and i heard in middle or end on summer zain will introduce 14.4 there network already supports it and right now there are looking for good device which has more customer support capabilities then the last one which sucked you had to go to the work shop to get it fixed.

Greetings All,
I have been using Viva router for six months now,, and i live in the Rehab Area which is in the Farwaniya governance! any way, first two weeks were going smooth for me, but after that, nightmares started to happen,, the device auto disconnects,, even though i checked the auto connected option under the preferences!! and the funny thing is that the VIVA “IT” team does not know how to deal with Apple’s computers.
the routine procedures is to reboot the device, which is the old trick, but the device still disconnects more often.
so i called the customer service, which will give ya a sweet polite tongue,,,, “helwa sweet tongue” and promises u to get the problem fixed, but nothing happened.
the problem is that, if u cancel the contract, u have to pay a penalty of 50 KD….. so go figure!
sorry for the long words,,but i had to share this Avec toi ;)
